About

I'm Yvie.
Third at this table.

An open leather-bound journal beside a lit candle in warm amber light

My grandmother Sally read cards in a kitchen in Española, New Mexico. The lineage didn't start with her — it started generations back, with her grandmother's mother, and the great-grandmothers who read after that. It skipped my mother Olivia, who kept the deck but never turned a card. It didn't skip me.

I've been reading officially for a little over a year and unofficially for years before that — pulling cards for myself, for family, for anyone who sat still long enough. The style is direct because softening a truth doesn't make it kinder; it just makes it useless.

I don't do curses. I don't do "energy cleanses." I don't tell you what you want to hear. What I do is sit with you, pull cards, and say the thing.

The lineage

Three women. One deck.

I.

The great-grandmothers

Originators · Northern New Mexico

The line runs back generations before it had a name — starting with my grandmother's grandmother's mother. They read at kitchen tables, for family, for neighbors, never for money.

II.

Sally

Grandmother · Española, NM

Learned from the women who came before. Kept the deck close her whole life. The reason I know what a real read sounds like.

III.

Yvie

Reader · Present

Third generation to sit at the table. Officially reading a little over a year, unofficially years longer. Available by video and in person in New Mexico.

What I believe

Four rules of the table.

  1. 01

The cards don't predict. They reveal.

You are already in motion. My job is to hold up a mirror at the exact right angle so you can see what you've been avoiding.

  2. 02

Softening a truth doesn't make it kinder.

It just makes it forgettable. I'll deliver the hard part with care — but I will deliver it.

  3. 03

    No fear-selling.

I don't hint at curses to book a follow-up. If something is uncomfortable, we name it and move through it.

  4. 04

    This is a real trade.

Reading is a craft. Twelve years of full-time practice, one family, one deck kept in the same tin my grandmother kept it in.
